October Status Update

I finally got the chance to turn my NG 2009 Calendar to the Month featuring my TANKMEN pic.

The Power of Three Game Kirbopher and I started months ago hasn't gotten too far. I've got over 50% of the game code done (I'd say over 10,000 lines of code so far), but the animations and textures aren't far and as always there are other issues. I'm very excited about it tho, and I'm determined to get it out this year...3 months and counting...

I'm also about half-way done on my piece for LegendaryFrog's RE collab.

Quick plug: I made this page & this corresponding picture to host the pictures we took at AX2009.

On a discussion note, my sister is in an English class, and for whatever reason, they were discussing Disney and how their movies are 'sexist & racist,' citing specific instances. I have my own opinions on the subject, but what do you guys think? Are the Disney movies prone to sexism and racism?

Also, I have the flu.

I think people like to look for those kinds of things in Disney movies solely for the purpose of it being Disney. Though early on it was pretty obvious, with the Dumbo crows and whatnot. I'd rather put those subjects aside and enjoy the Disney films for what they're really supposed to be rather than nitpick every single part that could be a subtle nod to subjects like racism.

You must be a pretty good programmer if you've even bothered to that much. I didn't know you were a good programmer. I know you're a good artist, but I didn't know you programmed that much. I mean, you could program some buttons in a few of your movies. But a whole game must be new to you.

I've actually been into programming at least as long as I've been into drawling. One of my college majors is Computer Science, so I have a substantial BG in it. I've made a bunch of smaller random things, but a full-on game is new to me. But I'm sure it'll be the best.

well its obious that Disney is both sexist and racist for some reason i say more racist even tho theres usally somthing sexual in all there animated movies well the new movie just makes think there more racist(im also black) i dont pay attention to the whole neworlens thing one of the biggest reasons is the song in th lion king THE LIONS SLEEP TONIGHT WAS ACTULY MADE IN 1939 CALLED MBUBA AND DISNEY GOT A LAWSUIT FROM THE PEOPLE OF SOUTH AFRICA
the other reason is for the same movie ripping of an old 1960's anime called kimba the white lion anyways search up the lion king on wikipedia youl see it

Yo, do either of you know what LF's RE Collab is going to be called? There is already a Resident Evil Collab, and I'm currently leading the sequel. I remember messaging him about it and he said he'll change the name. Simply because it couldn't be called anything else, I'm a bit concerned.

The Disney movies can slightly be linked to sexism and racism but... not too much. They try to keep it hidden and just act like it's making good drama, which it is, so, I wouldn't say too much. Good luck on the game. I'll be looking forward to it.
